I set up my EDC in a way that’s both functional for use and transitional for my archive system. In an earlier post titled 2025 PLANNER LINEUP I listed all the inserts I’m using for 2025. Out of those inserts I carry over my year at a glance, year overview, and month on one page, and add CUSTOM DIVIDERS to section off each year.
To start, I use a 6 RING PERSONAL PLANNER in which I start with a YEAR OVERVIEW INSERT. I typically only keep one quarter at a time in my planner. Once it’s time for a new quarter, I take out those weekly inserts and copy any important dates onto my year overview in my archive planner.
For my next section, I use the YEAR AT A GLANCE on top of my schedule dashboard. I typically add stickers on important dates I want to be visually highlighted. This really isn’t needed but aesthetically I like to see this on top as a visual aid without having to go through my year overview.
Lastly, I keep the month on one page from my ADMIN INSERTS as my monthly spreads may have info I didn’t deem important enough for the year overview. And aesthetically I like to keep them to see all my different spreads in case there’s a color combo I really enjoyed. It’s also a great way to see what stickers I usually frequently versus those I don’t which helps with ordering.
For unused dashboards, I will destash any that’s still in it’s original packaging. And for the ones I used, I collect them all in a disc setup by themselves for easy access in the future. An easy way to do this is with any extra covers you may have received from your folio purchases, or unused covers like the NOTES COVER, or the ICON COVER. For my personal planner I have these GOLD PLANNING RINGS I plan on using to store my extra dashboards.
Comment below if you have your own archive system, or if your willing to give this set up a try. My personal planner is in the color Ash.
