For many years I went into Black Friday on a whim with no purpose and ended up buying a bunch of stuff I either didn’t need or didn’t end up using because it wasn’t functional for me. Starting last year I decided to be way more intentional with my shopping. Read my game plan below:
- GET THE STAPLES: I typically don’t buy inserts during this time. What I do buy are items I’m picking up in bulk to get a better deal on the sale. Some of these items will include my favorite stickers. Currently, I’m obsessed with the Spotlight Stickers I’ve gone through so many of these in the colors Cortado and Ibiza. I’m definitely getting more of those, and I’m looking to try some new colors as well. A good way to see what stickers your using the most, is to keep the empties. Which ever stickers you have more empties of, are the ones you should purchase again.
- THE VISION: Other items I tend to purchase are aesthetic ones like clips, accessories, dashboards etc. I typically like to keep a certain color theme throughout my planner quarterly and adding new accessories help to keep the creative juices flowing. I’ve been obsessed with my Eclipse Bookmark in the color Bordeaux. The deep wine paired with black/grey/white has been making my little planner heart happy so I’m thinking of using this colorway as my planner theme for the start of 2025.
- LE’ SPLURGE: Larger purchases are on my list as well. I typically use the sale to purchase a planner cover or a high-end luxury item. I save up on things like company loyalty points to use towards purchases and credit card points to buy gift cards to lessen the blow. This year I have my eye on a new folio color. C&P released a glimpse of the new Madrid color and with my color theme for 2025 this would be perfect. Currently I have the Heirloom Folio Cover in Veleta.
This is my current list of items for my shopping list, what’s on yours? Comment below with what you plan to purchase. And don’t be shy, if you have a game plan of your own comment that as well. We can never be to organized.
